Welcome

David Bering-Porter is adjunct assistant professor in the Department of Modern Culture & Media at Brown University.  He received his Ph.D. in Modern Culture & Media from Brown University in May 2011 and is currently pursuing an active teaching and research agenda.  This academic year, he is teaching Digital Media and Race: Ethnicity, Technicity, Embodiment (Fall 2011) and Memory and Modern Media: Permanence and Presence in Film and Digital Media (Spring 2012).
